The quartet, all members of which are also members of Nottingham's Major Oak Chorus, began singing together in the autumn of 2010 when barbershop baritone veteran Tony "Howie" Howson invited other Oakies to join him in some regular quarteting to augment the Chorus's main rehearsal on Tuesday nights.
After a tentative start and a change in personnel, by January this year the quartet's line-up had settled down into its current membership of Tony, Paul "The Power" Jeffery (tenor); Trevor "Ready" Dawson (lead) and Graham "Gray" Norman (bass) and found itself a name!
The quartet will be taking part in this year's Prelims in Birmingham for the first time as well as extending its experience of public performance in various local music venues in the weeks ahead.
